Masque respects copyright and removes or restricts material when a valid notice identifies infringing content. This page describes the intended Digital Millennium Copyright Act process without claiming that a designated agent has been registered unless the operational status below confirms it.
Designated-agent status
Prelaunch blocker: Masque has not configured complete designated-agent contact details plus a registration confirmation. This page does not claim registration. Public creator uploads and paid media must remain disabled until the operator registers the agent, publishes matching details, and confirms them in production configuration.
Copyright notice
A notice should be sent to the configured agent above. When the formal intake channel is active, you may also submit a trackable copyright notice. Until the agent and channel are configured, use legal support; doing so is not a substitute for the operator completing agent registration.
A complete notice should include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list for multiple works at one online site.
- Identification and location of the allegedly infringing material with enough detail for Masque to find it, such as a Masque URL, handle, salon, thread, message, or media reference.
- The complaining party's name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement of good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the owner, agent, or law.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and the sender is the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
Do not attach unnecessary intimate media, identity documents, or illegal content. Provide location references instead.
Masque's response
Masque may restrict the material while checking the notice, notify the uploader, preserve relevant evidence, remove or disable access, record a strike, and take action against repeat infringers. Masque may forward the notice, including contact information, to the uploader or as required by law.
Counter-notice
An uploader who believes material was removed through mistake or misidentification may send the configured agent a counter-notice containing:
- The uploader's physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed material and its former Masque location.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification.
- The uploader's name, address, telephone number, consent to the applicable federal court jurisdiction, and consent to accept service from the original notifier or their agent.
If legally appropriate, Masque may forward the counter-notice and restore access after the statutory waiting period unless the original notifier reports filing a qualifying court action. Safety, privacy, or other policy reasons may independently keep content unavailable.

Repeat infringers and misrepresentation
Masque may terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances and may act against users who knowingly submit false notices or counter-notices. Copyright complaints are legal statements; consider obtaining legal advice before submitting one.
