MASQUE

Terms of Service

Version 2026-07-18.1 · Prelaunch review dated July 18, 2026

These Terms govern access to Masque, a pseudonymous social, chat, and creator platform for verified adults. By creating or using an account, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from this page.

Eligibility and the verified door

  • You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement.
  • Every member must complete Masque's configured independent identity, liveness, and adulthood checks before entering member spaces.
  • The marker used for Masque's gender-based verified badge and discovery comes from the approved identity document. It is not editable by the member. Optional pronouns or profile wording may be self-described but do not change that verified marker.
  • Missing, unsupported, or conflicting document markers require review, correction, or reverification before a gender-based badge is issued.
  • You may maintain one account and may not evade, lend, sell, or help another person circumvent verification or enforcement.

The separate Verification Policy explains the data boundary, corrections, and appeals.

Your account and pseudonymity

  • Your account may be operated only by the verified person. Assistants, agencies, chat teams, bots impersonating a person, and delegated account access are prohibited.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding sign-in access and promptly reporting suspected compromise.
  • Other members ordinarily see your handle, mask, permitted profile details, and verified badges, not your legal name, document, selfie, or exact birth date.
  • Pseudonymity is not anonymity from Masque's providers, transaction partners, safety processes, or valid legal process.

Acceptable use

You must follow the Community and Content Rules. Among other things, Masque prohibits child sexual abuse material, sexualized depictions of minors, trafficking, coercion, non-consensual intimate imagery, intimate deepfakes, harassment, threats, doxxing, blackmail, fraud, and the arrangement or facilitation of paid in-person sexual services.

Your content and permission to operate the service

You retain the rights you hold in content you submit. You grant Masque a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, transcode, scan, display, distribute, restrict, preserve, and remove that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, moderate, improve, and legally administer the service. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies that must remain in safety evidence, transaction records, backups, legal holds, or as otherwise required by law.

You represent that you have all necessary rights and consents. During the initial creator-media release, depicted-person media must show only the verified account holder; co-performer media is not eligible for publication.

Chats, requests, groups, and salons

  • Ordinary text chat is free unless a clearly disclosed creator offering says otherwise.
  • A member may accept, decline, block, or ignore a message request. Nobody owes another member access, attention, media, or a reply.
  • Salon hosts may set additional rules, but those rules cannot override Masque policy or law.
  • Hosts may choose a free door or, when paid features are enabled, a clearly disclosed recurring subscription.

Purchases, subscriptions, and creator earnings

Paid features remain unavailable until Masque's processor, safety pipeline, legal contacts, and operating controls are configured. When enabled, the total price and any recurring interval appear before confirmation. Separate terms govern purchases and final sales, subscriptions and cancellation, and creator activity.

  • Do not make off-platform payments for Masque goods or use payments to disguise prohibited conduct.
  • Completed and correctly supplied purchases are final and non-refundable except as expressly provided in these Terms or required by law. Subscription cancellation stops future renewal and does not refund or prorate the current paid period.
  • Masque may delay, reverse, correct, or place a lawful hold on amounts for failed or invalid transactions, fraud, disputes, sanctions screening, safety review, serious policy breaches, processor requirements, or legal obligations.
  • Taxes, bank fees, currency conversion, and legally required reporting may apply.

Moderation, preservation, and appeals

Masque may limit distribution, quarantine or remove content, suspend features, freeze unsettled funds, suspend an account, or ban an account to protect people, enforce policy, respond to processor requirements, or comply with law. Reports may preserve the selected content and limited surrounding context in a restricted, access-logged safety case. Where an action is appealable, the notice identifies the route and deadline. A suspension does not expire unless the notice says it does.

Copyright and repeat infringement

Respect intellectual-property rights. Masque responds to complete copyright notices and may terminate repeat infringers under the Copyright and DMCA Policy. The policy page states whether designated-agent registration is actually configured; this document does not claim that registration has occurred.

Service changes and availability

Features may change, pause, or end. Masque does not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, a particular audience, creator income, or that access controls can prevent every screenshot or external recording. Material policy changes will receive a new version and, when appropriate, renewed acceptance before continued high-risk use.

Disclaimers and limits

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Masque is provided "as is" and without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded. Final liability limits, governing-law language, venue, legal entity name, and formal notice address must be inserted only after the operating entity and counsel-approved terms are complete; this prelaunch version does not invent them.

Account closure

You may request account deletion in Settings. The account becomes inactive immediately and may be restored for 28 days before ordinary profile data and content are removed or queued for permanent deletion, subject to limited verification, safety, transaction, fraud, dispute, tax, backup, and legal-hold retention described in the Privacy Policy. Masque may close accounts under these Terms.

Questions and notices

Use support for account, billing, privacy, or legal questions. Specialized copyright and intimate-image channels are linked in the legal navigation above.

Policy status: this is a prelaunch implementation version prepared for final counsel review. Masque does not represent that counsel has approved this text, that a DMCA agent has been registered, or that the adult-records program is complete. Paid launch remains gated on those recorded approvals and configurations.
