Masque is anonymous chat built around verification. Join free under a handle. Every room past the public square holds only adults who passed an independent 18+ and identity check, and nobody inside ever sees a name. You get the mask. Verified members get no way to hide behind ten of them.

Most anonymous chat runs on a simple trade: nobody knows who you are, and nobody knows who anyone else is either. That second half is where it rots. An account costs nothing, so the person who ruins a room is back in thirty seconds under a new name, and the app that banned him counts his return as growth.
The other trade is quieter and worse. Plenty of apps promise anonymity while running on your phone number or your contacts list, which leaves your anonymous account one sync away from your real one. Ask anyone whose secret handle got recommended to a coworker.
Masque splits the trade. You stay masked to everyone here. The house knows a handle, an email address if you choose to add one, and, once you verify, a yes from a verification company. And the verified member who gets banned stays banned, because coming back would cost an identity he already spent. A free account is cheap to open again, which is exactly why a free account stops at the public square and at a chat request you can decline.
Inside, anonymous chat looks the way it was supposed to: direct messages nobody can open until you say yes to them first, group circles you assemble, salons run by hosts who hold the keys, and halls where a whole community talks under masks.
Adult conversation is allowed here, openly. That matters, because the mainstream apps hosting your late-night group chats keep the record of them under your real account. Here the record belongs to a mask, and Masque will never be the reason the mask comes off.
To other members, yes: they see your handle and whatever you choose to share, never your name, email, or documents. Masque itself holds your handle and an email address if you add one; the identity provider holds the verification result once you verify. Anonymous to each other, accountable to the rules.
No. Nothing on Masque pairs you with strangers or opens a camera. You choose every conversation you enter, and nobody can message you until you allow them to.
Not to join. A free account is a handle and a password, and it reads the public Town Square and can knock on a member's door. To open the rest, once, to an independent verification provider, so that everyone in those rooms is a real adult. The provider keeps the documents and sends back the result. Masque never sees or stores your ID, and members never see anything at all.
They are gone from your world. For a verified member, one account per person means the block removes the human, not the username, and there is no second mask waiting for them to come back with. A blocked free account can be opened again, which is why a free account never gets closer to you than a request you can decline.
Yes. Joining is free, verifying is free, and chats, circles, salons, and halls cost nothing and stay that way. The only prices here are the ones a creator puts on their own work, such as a paid salon tier, and those are shown before you buy. Masque takes a cut only when someone chooses to sell something, never for conversation.
