An adults-only chat and community site built around identity verification. Anyone 18 or older can join free under a handle. Verified members passed an independent ID check with a provider that keeps the documents, and they go by a handle too. Inside are halls, private chats and circles, creator salons, and a reading room that publishes fiction to the open web.

Read and post in the Town Square, comment and vote there, send a small number of chat requests to other members and answer the ones you receive, browse the salons creators have listed, and buy a seat in one if you choose. A free account posts text only, cannot open member profiles, and does not reach the other halls or any circle.

Pick a handle and a password and you are in as a free member. No email is required; you can add one later in Settings for account recovery. Verifying is a short identity-document check with an independent provider, done whenever you are ready, and it keeps the handle you already have.

An independent verification provider checks your document and selfie and keeps them; Masque keeps a limited result and a provider reference. Members only ever see your handle and mask, never your name, your face, or your documents.

Joining is free, and so is every part of the community that verification opens: the halls, private chats, circles, and following a salon. What can cost money is what a creator chooses to sell, such as a paid salon tier or a priced photo or video, and every price is shown before you buy. Masque never charges for membership or for conversation.

Adult nudity and consensual adult sexuality are welcome. Never anyone under 18, no gore, and nothing the Community and Content Rules ban. Every member agreed to the same short rules at the door, and the rules are public.

From any post, profile, or message inside the app. There is also a public report form at /safety/report that needs no account, and intimate-image removal has its own accountless door at /legal/takedown.

For verified members, blocks and bans attach to the verified identity behind the account rather than to an email address, so a fresh inbox does not mint a fresh verified member; re-entry costs a new verified identity. A free account is cheap to open again, which is exactly why free accounts stop at the Town Square and at a chat request you can decline, and why their requests arrive in their own section of your inbox.

Yes, from Settings, at any time. Deletion runs on the Privacy Policy's schedule, and that policy also lists the limited records that can remain afterward.

Halls are shared forums with posts, votes, comments, and their own moderators; the Town Square is the one hall that free members and the open web can read. Circles are private group chats you are invited into. Salons are creator-run rooms: a verified member follows one free, and a creator can also set a price on a tier. The reading room publishes member fiction to the open web with no account needed.

The Town Square, the reading room, and pages like this one. Everything else is members-only and stays off the open web, which is most of the point.
